Blogtober [2018], Curhat

once upon a time

Day 15: Why did you start blogging?

My very first blog was not here, but in another blog platform. It was an assignment from my teacher in Junior High School. He said we have to make a blog and write five posts on there―and I made it. I continued that blog as my media and shared information I have. I also tried to write bilingual posts (English and Indonesia), but it was no last longer.

Years after that, I moved to WordPress when I was in High School. And, there are a lot of reasons why I’m in love with this platform until now. It simpler and easier to use. Then, my blogging purpose changed, from school assignments, sharing information I got from internet, and now I prefer use it to share my life stories (and sometimes sharing information based on experience).

At first, this sharing activity was not working smoothly. I often forgot to write for months. If I remember to write, I reasoned I had writer block―and other reason I made to myself. My blog didn’t develop at all.

In 2013, I wrote 1 post only. It developed a little in 2014, I wrote 2 posts. In 2015 I was more developed with 20 posts in total! Unfortunately, in 2016, my develop was decreased with only 7 posts in total (duh). But, I had turning point in 2017 because I wrote 222 posts! It was because #NulisRandom (writing randomly about everything; everyday; in a month) on June and I made writing habit although the writings in every month still unbalanced. And in this 2018, from January to October, I wrote around 173 posts already. My current goal is to break my record in 2017 with 222 posts.

Hmm, can I write 333 posts this year? 🤔
